When paying your subscription, you might have a VAT rate applied to your payment amount. We will show you what are the different cases:

Should I pay the VAT?

ESUS (Ezus) is a French enterprise, so it is located in Europe. Based on this there are 3 different cases regarding your location:

1. You are located out of Europe:

If you are not located in a European country, you will not pay VAT.

2. You are located in another European country (Excluding France) :

In this case, it depends on whether you have a VAT number or not:

  • If you have a valid VAT number, you are exempt from paying VAT.

ℹ️ You can check the validity of your VAT number, here.

  • If you do not have a valid VAT number, you must pay the applicable VAT in your country.

3. You are located in France:

You must pay a 20% VAT 5even if you send us your VAT number). The including taxes price is the price without taxes + 20% of VAT.

You can of course recover the VAT in your VAT déclaration to the French administration presenting our invoice. (✍🏻 Retrieve my subscription invoices).

Where can I modify my information?

🚨The VAT number is mandatory for the VAT exemption in other European countries.

The VAT number is normally given to Ezus when signing the starting contract.

You can also add it to your account, by going to Company > Billing on your settings.

Moreover, it is right here where you can select your account's country.

💌 If the VAT number or the country might be changed, don't forget to inform your Account Manager. This change will lead to changes over your future invoices and/or your access to some features like the Payment Link.

ℹ️ The information on this page is also used to generate your Invoices/ Budgets on Ezus.
