Getting started with Descriptions

Learn what Description documents are, what they can be used for, and how they work in Ezus.

Descriptions are customizable documents that allow you to create different types of documents from the information contained in your Ezus projects.

For example, you can use Descriptions to create:

  • Sales contracts

  • Registration forms

  • Travel books

  • Detailed quotations

  • Other customized project documents

1. How do Descriptions work?

A Description is generated using a Description template.

The template defines the structure of your document and can combine two types of blocks:

  • Page — a fully customizable page where you can design your own content and use variables.

  • Program — a block automatically generated by Ezus using information from your project.

This allows you to combine your own document design with content retrieved automatically from Ezus.

2. Where can I find Description templates?

To create or modify a Description template, go to:

Models > Documents > Descriptions

From here, you can create a new template or modify an existing one.

🔭 See Create and customize a Description template to learn how to build the structure of your document.

3. Generate a Description from a project

Once your template is ready:

  1. Open the relevant project.

  2. Go to the Documents tab.

  3. Select the Description template you want to use.

  4. Generate your Description.

The information configured in the template is added when the document is generated.

4. Edit and share the generated document

After generating your Description, you can modify it directly if necessary.

The finished document can then be shared as a PDF, through a web link, or added to your website.
