1. Choose a general level of detail
If you want the same level of detail throughout the quote, leave Level of detail by steps type unchecked.
You can then choose between:
Level | What your customer sees |
Detailed quote | Steps and products with their respective prices |
Detailed quote without prices | Steps and products, but without their individual prices. Only the total price is displayed |
Quotation by activity | Steps with their respective prices |
Global quote | No individual details, only the total price |
💡 Choose the level according to how much pricing information you want your customer to see. For example, use a Global quote when you only want to communicate the final price.
2. Set the level of detail by step type
If you want different parts of the project to be presented differently, enable Level of detail by steps type.
This allows you to configure the level of detail according to the different types of steps in your project.
For example, you may want to provide more detail for one type of service while keeping another part of the quote more general.
You can also choose whether to display the products and quantities within each step.
3. Check the result
After configuring the level of detail, generate a quote with a representative project and check what your customer will see.
Pay particular attention to:
Which steps are displayed
Whether products are displayed
Whether individual prices are visible
Whether quantities are shown
Whether the total price appears as expected
💡If you change the level of detail, generate the quote again to see the effect of your configuration before sharing it with your customer.
