Quotes allow you to present the pricing of a project to your customer using the information already configured in Ezus.
Before generating a quote, you can choose how much detail to display and customize the template according to the information you want your customer to see.
1. How quotes work in Ezus
A quote is generated from the information contained in your project.
Depending on your template configuration, you can create anything from a detailed quote showing individual steps and products to a global quote displaying only the total price.
This means that two things determine the final result:
The information and pricing configured in the project
The settings of the quote template
💡Before working on the appearance of your quote, make sure the products, quantities and prices in your project are correct.
2. Create a quote template
To create or modify a quote template:
Go to Models > Documents.
Select Quotes.
Click the + button to create a new template.
Configure the template according to the information you want to display.
💡If you use several quote templates, give each one a clear name so you can easily identify the correct template when you need it.
3. Choose how much detail to display
Your quote does not always need to show the same level of information.
Depending on the template, you can configure a more detailed quote showing steps, products and prices, or a simpler version showing less detail.
You can also configure the level of detail according to the different types of steps in the project.

4. Customize the information in your quote
The quote template also lets you control how information is presented.
For example, the existing quote settings allow you to configure elements such as the document title, default text, product information, quantities, transport dates, times, and payment information.
Some configurations can also use information stored elsewhere in Ezus. For example, bank details displayed in the document are retrieved from your company settings.

5. Generate and check your quote
Once your project information and quote template are ready, generate the quote from your project.
Before sharing it with your customer, check that:
The correct prices are displayed.
The expected level of detail is used.
Products and quantities appear correctly.
Payment information is correct, if displayed.
The customer information is correct.
Any default text included in the template appears as expected.
💡 If you regularly use different quote formats, create separate templates for each use case and give them clear names.
