Once SIG mode is active and your groups are set up, Ezus makes your financial tracking readable group by group: budget, invoicing and payments are split according to how your products are assigned.
This article covers invoicing and financial tracking by group. For activating SIG mode, creating groups and assigning products, read our article ✍️ Manage your traveller groups with SIG mode first.
1. Create an invoice for a group
From the Finances tab, create an invoice as usual. Two elements need to be selected:
the client (still required today);
the group to invoice.
The invoice then automatically picks up the amount specific to the group, calculated from how its products are assigned. You can generate a full invoice or a deposit invoice (interim invoice), just as for any project.
💡 Tip: dedicated templates For your group invoices, create a specific invoice template in your template gallery, then select it when generating the invoice. For example, you can set up one template that itemises accommodation and another that groups the services on a single global line, so you can present accommodation and services separately.
2. Filter, export and reassign your invoices
The invoice and payment lists now have a Group column and a group filter.
Filter: display a single group's invoices to check or communicate the matching amounts.
Export: the export returns the table data (not the invoice file itself).
Reassign: if an invoice was attached to the wrong group, go back to the group concerned to reassign the invoice to the right group.
3. Track payments by group
Each payment is automatically attached to the group of its invoice. Thanks to the group filter, you track precisely what has been collected and what is left to collect for each group.
💡 Good to know: it is not yet possible to change the group of a payment once it has been recorded.
Current limitations and workarounds
An invoice corresponds to a single group. To invoice separately clients who are gathered in the same group, create separate groups matching each payer.
Selecting the products to invoice: you cannot choose specific products to include in an invoice. You can, however, use the display via templates (itemised accommodation, global services) and split the amount by percentage or by amount.
A group's own paying client: linking a group to its own client is not yet available. The invoice is still issued in the name of the project client.
Changing the group of a payment: not yet available.
Margin per group: not yet available.
