When working with a Slides template in Ezus, blocks determine which slides or project information should be included when the document is generated.
A template can contain different types of blocks depending on the content you want to include, such as a fixed slide, the daily itinerary, sub-destination slides, product slides, program step slides, or the project budget.
Each block has its own configuration options, allowing you to control how its content is generated.
💡 There is no separate Supplier block. Slides associated with suppliers can be included through the configuration of other blocks, such as the Products block.
1. Slide
Use a Slide block when you already have your own slide design and want to automate it with information from Ezus.
For example, you may already have a presentation created in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Canva that you use for your travel proposals. Once the slide design is added to your Ezus template, you can configure it with variables so that project information is automatically inserted when the document is generated.
This allows you to keep your existing presentation design while replacing manually updated content with dynamic information from Ezus.
💡 Use a Slide block when you want to reuse and automate an existing slide design rather than generate slides associated with a sub-destination, product, or program step.
2. Summary
The Summary block generates an overview of the program by organizing the itinerary according to the days and periods of the day.
You can configure elements such as:
Date style
Font
Time ranges used to define the different periods of the day
Background color
Summary text color
For example, you can define the hours corresponding to the morning, afternoon, and evening so that the generated summary reflects the structure of the itinerary.
Control which Steps appear in the Summary
For each Step in your program, you can choose whether or not it should be displayed in the Summary.
This allows you to keep certain Steps in the detailed itinerary without necessarily displaying them in the program overview.
💡 Use the Summary block when you want to give the customer a quick overview of the itinerary before presenting the program in more detail.
3. Destination
The Destination block retrieves slides associated with the sub-destinations included in the project.
⚠️ You can only add slides at the subdestination level, not at the destination level.
To associate a slide with a sub-destination, go to Catalog > Destinations:
For a multi-destination project, you can configure how the block behaves:
Include only the main sub-destination slide
Include all sub-destination slides
Display the sub-destination slide of a specific day
Display the slide for a sub-destination starting on a specific day
This allows the template to control which sub-destination slides are retrieved according to the structure of the project.
💡 Use a Destination block when you have prepared reusable sub-destination slides that should automatically appear according to the destinations included in the project.
4. Products
A Products block retrieves slides that have been associated with products used in the project.
Slides can be associated with a product from the Slide tab in the product record in your Catalog.
When that product is used in the program, its associated slides can then be included in the generated document through a Products block.
Choose which associated slides to include
The Products block can also retrieve slides associated with the product's supplier and package.
Under Duplicate the slides, you can choose:
Do not duplicate the slides
Only products slides
All the slides (product, supplier and package)
Select All the slides (product, supplier and package) when you also want the slides associated with the relevant supplier and package to be included.
⚠️ There is no Supplier block in Slides templates. Creating a slide for a supplier in the Catalog does not create a separate block that retrieves it automatically. If you want supplier slides to be retrieved through the Products block, select the option that includes supplier slides.
💡 If you do not want to retrieve the Supplier slide separately, you can also include the relevant supplier content in the Product slide.
Filter which products are included
You can also control which products the block retrieves according to their category and/or day.
For product categories, you can use whitelist or blacklist filters to determine which categories should or should not be included in the block.
This gives you more control over which product slides appear without having to create a different template for every project.
💡 Use a Products block when you maintain reusable presentation slides at product level and want Ezus to retrieve the relevant ones automatically for each proposal.
5. Steps
The Steps block retrieves Slides associated with the Sample Steps used in the program.
Unlike Product Slides, which are associated with Products in the Catalog, Slides used by this block are added through Sample Steps.
To associate a Slide with a Sample Step, go to Programs > Sample Steps and add the Slide to the relevant Sample Step:
When a Sample Step containing an associated Slide is used in a project, the Steps block can retrieve that Slide and include it in the generated presentation.
⚠️ This functionality applies to Sample Steps. A Slide must be associated with the relevant Sample Step for the Steps block to retrieve it.
💡 Use the Steps block when you maintain reusable Slides for your Sample Steps and want the corresponding Slides to be automatically included according to the Steps used in each itinerary.
6. Budget
The Budget block generates a presentation of the project's budget.
Its configuration allows you to determine both the financial information displayed and the appearance of the generated budget.
You can configure:
Date style
Details level
Display total price
Show collectible VAT
The information displayed in the budget:

Text colour product
You can also use Conditional rule to generate the block to determine whether the Budget block should be generated.
If needed, Reset default budget options allows you to restore the default budget configuration.
💡 Use the Budget block when you want the financial information already calculated in Ezus to be presented automatically in your Slides document.
Control which Steps appear in the Budget
For each Step in your program, you can choose whether or not it should be displayed in the Budget.
This gives you control over which parts of the itinerary are included in the budget presentation without having to remove the Step itself from the program.
The visibility of a Step in the Summary and Budget can therefore be managed separately.
💡 A Step can remain part of the program while being hidden from the Summary, the Budget, or both, depending on how you want to present the project to your customer.
7. Empty slides
The Empty slides block is used for slides that do not retrieve one of the specific content types described above.
It can also be configured to control whether slides should be duplicated and can use a Conditional rule to generate the block when the slide should only appear under specific conditions.
Which block should I use?
Choose the block according to the source of the content you want Ezus to generate:

⚠️ There is no separate Supplier block. If you want to retrieve slides associated with suppliers, configure a block that supports them, such as the Products block.
Block-specific settings
The settings available depend on the block you select.
For example:
Summary controls how the daily program overview is displayed.
Destination controls which sub-destination slides are retrieved, particularly in multi-destination projects.
Products controls which associated slides are retrieved and can filter products by category and/or day.
Budget controls the financial detail displayed and its visual presentation.
Some blocks also provide options to control which slides are included or duplicated.
You may also see Conditional rule to generate the block. This allows the generation of a block to depend on specific conditions.

Test your blocks
After adding or changing a block:
Save the template.
Generate a document using a representative project.
Check that the expected slides or information are included.
Check that content associated with products, sub-destinations, suppliers, packages, or steps corresponds to the project used for the test.
If you have configured filters or conditional rules, test both a project that meets the condition and one that does not.
⚠️ The result of a block depends on the information available in the project and on the block configuration. If an expected slide is missing, first check that the corresponding product, sub-destination, supplier, package, or step is present, that the relevant slide has been associated with it, and that the block is configured to include it.
